Hi Guys.
Happy return customer here, (Whirlpool top oven is dead), but now time to help the inlaws. Error code E6-F2, the guy they had out to look at it said they needed the following parts: Control Board 8302319 Control Panel 8300440 They heard about my fantastic success here before and thought I might be able to help. How much and how hard? And could they really need both parts? I dont think the repair guy actually looked that hard at the oven. Was he going for the good 'ole shotgun approach? Thanks, David Last edited by dwoodrow; June 16th, 2008 at 03:03 PM.. |

Hi David,
That E6-F2 error code means: CANCEL key drive line open What to do: 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection. 2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 sec., replace keypad. Here's the control panel keypad assembly: Manufacturer's Number: 8300440 If steps 1 & 2 check ok, then you have to replace the control board: Manufacturer's Number: 8302319 Jake

the E6-F2 is intermittant, and there is no cancel button (unless you mean upper/lower off).
currently there is no display at all, then it will randomly come on and beep... then randomly go off. interesting thing my mother in law said is that when it comes on, the clock is correct. To me that sounds like the control board is OK and keeping the time, and there is a problem either with the keypad or the connection. make sense? i confirmed that the repair guy never even got out a screwdriver, so he is just ordering both parts at high markup... i will run over there and see if there is a loose connection. how do you get the keypad off? i dont need to pull the oven out right? just keep pulling screws until i get there? |

The good thing about ordering parts from the links here that we give, is if you install the parts and it doesn't fix the problem, you can return them within 30 days for a full refund. ![]() Quote:
https://secured.whirlpool.com/Servic...LE/8178007.pdf Give it time to download. ![]() It has good instructions on how to access your control panel and control board. Jake
