Default Super Capacity 465 Model RF386

My whirlpool range SC465 Model RF386PXG is not cooking properly. The oven is not holding temperature consistently. For example; set temp to 350 and the oven says it reached 350, but thermometer test has shown 310. I think that is a little more than the +/- 10 degrees. I have replaced the sensor. with no result. I used the temp offset with a marginal difference. Is there anything else that I can check or replace to fix the condition?

Hi James,

If you've replaced the oven sensor and its still giving you the same problem, then the only other part that would cause this is your electronic clock oven control board assembly.

There should be another letter and number after the G at the end of your model#.

If you can post that, I can find you the cheapest one you can order.

There should be one more number after the B

I get these results:
RF386PXGB0
RF386PXGB1
RF386PXGB2
RF386PXGB3
RF386PXGB4

Does the bake element turn red when its heating up?

Thanks,

Here's the cheapest price I found for your electronic clock control board:

No, because the warranty is only for 5 yrs. on that part.

I was thinking about the cost of that part relative to the age of your range. Usually you don't want to start dumping big money into a 8-10 yr. old range if you have a big family living in your household and use it daily or many times a day.
