Default DU1100XTP Detergent Dispenser

The detergent dispenser quit opening during the wash cycle. Here's what I found when I took the door off.

The plastic has actually melted away from the back of this little motor, and also through the rubber cover that protects the dispenser assembly.

It seems like water leaked down from the air vent and caused this.

I guess I need to replace the dispenser assembly. Is that the only part I"ll need?

How can I prevent this from happening again?

Sagashi

Hi Sagashi,

There should be another letter & number after the P at the end of your model#.

Your model# tag should be located inside the dishwasher on the top as you open the door, or on the inner right or left side walls.

You'll need a new air vent gasket and dispenser, I will link you to the parts when you post the complete model#.

Thanks.

Jake

Default Still not fixed...

Well, we got the new parts, but the detergent dispenser still won't open. What should we try next?

Ok, then it sounds like it shorted your control board as well.

Here's the control board for your model:
