Default whirlpool quietpartner 2 (in black)

Hi jake, we have just bought a whirlpool quiet partner 2 from Lowes but it was drastically reduced as was sold working but, as is, so we cannot return it. It does work, but never stops!!!

we run it on a regular cycle, and 2 hours later it's still on it, it hasn't moved to the next cycle of drying. we have tried different combination's but the same thing happens. we haven't fully installed it in place and it is slightly tilting backwards, could this be the reason why, or is it a replacement part we need??

if you need more info please just let me know.

thanks Gillian

Hi Gillian,

Whats the model# of your dishwasher? Its located inside the door on the upper wall of your tub.

Is the water heat option on when this happens? Does it say water heating too when the timer stops moving?

Jake

the model number is DU1145XTPBA (i hope that's the right one), and there isn't an option for water heat or a button for it, but my husband connected it to the hot water so I'm not sure if it will need to heat the water. it works from the second you press start, but it just continues on the wash cycle for at least 2 hours, then I've stopped it manually.

thanks

Gill

Ok, then if the heater is working its likely your control board is bad.

Here's the control board for your model:
Manufacturer part number W10084141 is RepairClinic item number 1373167

So when you bought this at Lowe's, they didn't give you a warranty at all?

That seems odd if they didn't.

You can always return it to Lowe's within 30 days of purchase for a exchange for a brand new one, and just pay the difference.

Jake
