I've got a model GS395LEGB3 natural gas. The broiler ignites and heats up fine. The oven or bake glow bar lights up but it's as if there isn't gas getting to this burner. There are no codes being displayed. I'm thinking it may be the gas valve but don't want to start throwing money at it without help diagnosing the problem. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
Its likely your oven igniter thats bad, thats common to go out when the glow bar glows and no gas comes out. On your model your bake and broil igniter are identical, so you could actually switch them and see if your oven comes on. Here's the cheapest oven igniter I found for your model you can order: Manufacturer's Number: 3186491 Jake

I switched them and it works great. I guess I thought since it looked like it was working it was OK. You saved me a lot of time and money. My wife is happy too since I cleaned the oven and the floor underneath it. Even found one of my kids' long lost HotWheels.
Thanks Jake |

Excellent, good job find it was the oven glow bar that was the problem.
