Default no de-frost

Hi guys, Have a problem i cant figure out. Working on a Kirkland by w/p, md. #st14ckxkq03. It wont de-frost. I have changed the timer twice, and the heating ele, but still not going. I put my meter on the leads to the heating ele. and it reads 3.4v when engaged, 2.7 when not. Where eles should i look? All the wire leads look good, I'm at a lost...

Hi dew,

It sounds like a bad defrost thermostat. Ohm it for continuity WHILE ITS FROSTY! very important. The defrost thermostat clips on the top of your evaporator coil in the freezer.

Here's the defrost thermostat for this model:
Manufacturer part number 4387490 is RepairClinic item number 586200
