Default GU1500XTKB0 - Water Inlet Leaking?

Howdy All,

I have found what I believe is the water inlet assembly located on the left side of the dishwasher tub, leaking.

I disassembled this part and cleaned some lime buildup off and reassembled, but now it seems to be leaking again. I cleaned it again and it doesn't leak as badly, but still leaks.

I've read some other sites that even after replacing with a new assembly, it still may leak.

What should I do? I don't want to purchase a part if it's not going to fix the issue.

Thanks,

Brian

Hi,

So you can actually see it dripping from the water inlet valve itself and not the water supply line connector where it connects to it?

If its leaking from the water inlet valve itself, a new one will fix it.

We have a special 30 day return for a full refund if you install the control panel and it doesn't fix the problem.

Here is the water inlet valve for your model you can order:

Jake,

Thanks for the reply.

I think I have my components mixed up. The component you referenced in your response isn't the one that is giving me problems.

The component that is leaking is located on the left hand side of the tub as you look at the unit. It has a black tubing running to it on the outside, the a piece on the inside that attaches with a quarter turn. The outside piece has 8269240 (I'm assuming this is a part number) stamped on it.

Sorry for the confusion.

Brian

ahh, ok Brian.

Then yes, if your absolutely sure its leaking from that, then a new one will fix it.

Here's the water inlet kit for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: 8193508

8193508

Now if its leaking from above that, which I've seen before, it could be a loose upper rack roller, so make sure your upper rack rollers are tight.
