Default [FIXED] Ice Maker making too much ice

I have a model GD25DIXHB02 with the ice storage in the door. It has just started making too much ice. I don't see any LED lights on or blinking when I run the diagnostics tests. Is the problem with my optic boards?

Thanks,

Earl

Hi Earl,

It sounds like you'll need the new optics board kit. It comes with instructions to install it.

Here's the cheapest one I found for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: 4389102

4389102

Jake - I put the new optics board in and I am getting the led light to turn on. However, between my ordering these boards the ice maker has stopped making ice. Should I just replace the ice maker and the water valve?

Thanks,

Earl

So it was making some ice while your optics board were on order?

Give it some time to start cycling normally if you just installed the optics boards.

If you feel inside your ice maker, do you feel any water or ice in it now?

I'd give it at least overnight to see if it starts cycling, if it doesn't then you can order the ice maker assembly and water valve.

Here's the ice maker assembly for your model you can order:
Complete icemaker assembly

Manufacturer's Part#: 2198597

Here's the water inlet valve for your model you can order:
Manufacturer's Number: 4389177

4389177
