Default Whirlpool Quiet Partner II doesn't finish cycle

I picked up an unused Whirlpool Quiet Partner II from a model home and installed it in another home. After it was installed it doesn't seem to complete the cycle. After it stops running the dishes are wet and water remains in the bottom of the unit. If you push the drain button the water pumps out without an issue.

I don't think there is anything worn since it was unused. I have checked the drain hose and it seems to be straight and since it does drain I expect that it's ok too.

I've read about resetting the unit, but I didn't want to play around until I knew exactly what I was doing.

Thanks!!

Sure sounds like a bad main electronic control board but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance. If possible use the meter and the wiring diagram to check input/output voltages looking for discrepancies between the diagram and the actual meter readings.

I was hoping this wasn't going to be DOA.

Not to sound stupid, but what's the link to the parts page for? Yes, I'm new here

OK, thanks for the link to your parts site.

Any idea where to find the wiring diagram you're talking about?

Thanks for the reply Jake, I'll check for the model number tonight.

I was told today that it was run through a cycle empty when it was first installed and had no issues at all. I am the one that removed it from that location and installed it where it is now so I know it wasn't abused on the way. It didn't have any water standing in it when I picked it up so the issue is new to this location.

I'll recheck everything when I get there later and post up the model too. Thanks!

Thanks Dave,

Sounds like either something is clogged in your drain motor or your drain motor is bad.

Page 21 here shows you how to take apart the drain motor:

Here's the drain motor for your model in case you need to order it:
Manufacturer part number 661662 is RepairClinic item number 1176508
661662

Let us know what you find.
