Default Whirlpool Ultraease Side by Side, slow water

Evening Jake,
I have a two year old Whirlpool Ultraease Side by Side, that has very slow water. THe pressure in the rest of the house is just fine. I have tried three new fillters, there are no kinks in the line. I checked the piercing In fact, I re-bored the pilot hole with a 5/32 bit. THe water disp hums pretty good when it dispenses. It has been like this since day one. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, Moon

Hi Moon,

I usually take the water supply line off, and get a bucket and see how much pressure you have, should be a good strong stream flowing into the bucket. Drilling 1/4" should be fine.

I've always been against self-piercing water line kits because they have a tendency to clog alot, due to the very small hole that gets pierced.

Here's one thats non self-piercing I recommend:
Icemaker Installation Kit, Copper - 25-foot copper tubing (1/4-inch) and non-self-tapping saddle valve with compression fitting. Fits most brands of icemakers.

Thank you sir, I did the 1/4" this morn and there is little difference. I have to assume that a 1/4 line would fix the issue. However, the closest pipe I have is approx 20' away and there are to many twists and turns to run the copper, I will surely crimp it.

Yes Moon,

The 1/4" line should solve it.

You may want to check with your local hardware store for a 20' nylon water line, I know they sell them, but not sure if they sell them that long.
