I have a Whirlpool side by side Refrigerator/Freezer, Model ED5JHGXR000, serial # SS1148588 and would like to disconnect the heaters around the door seals since I am in the desert and don't need that feature. There is no apparent switch and I dont see the wiring hookup for heaters on the back of the unit. Is there a way to disconnect the heaters?

Hi,
Nope, unfortunately not anymore. The heat comes from the Yoder loop that sends warm condenser refrigerant gas through it, so there's no way to turn it off like the old ones that had a switch. Jake
