Default GU980SCGQ0 dead

Hi,

We have a 10 year old Quiet Partner Gold that has always worked perfectly. 2 days ago, it just stopped working. The touch pad doesn't light up when you push it. Nothing happens at all. I've read the threads about similar problems & tested the solutions, but am still stumped.

I'm not much of an electrician, so I'm not sure I've done everything right.

The thermal fuse does have continuity.

The door switches appear to work although one switch does show about 20 volts when the circuit is open. Please see attached image for clarification.

I don't know where to go from here. Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

You can ohm the door switches for continuity with the wires off. Turn your breaker off first to. When the door switch buttons pushed in you should have continuity.

Also check below you tub where your main power comes into it, you should have a access panel below your door, then the main power comes into it from the metal junction box in front. I've seen the wires nuts either come loose or burn off.

If those check good, then its possibly your control board.

Here's the control board for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: 8051136

8051136

But at $140 for it and your dishwasher already 10 years old, maybe better to invest in a new dishwasher, as other parts as wearing as well.

Jake
