Question Whirlpool et8lfkxkq, freezer not cold, clicking noise any ideas?

I have a Whirlpool et8lfkxkq with the freezer on top. It has been making a clicking noise. During this noise it is blowing air to the freezer but its not cold enough to keep items frozen. The clicking takes place every few minutes. This has been an on again off again problem for the past couple of weeks, it will do this for a day or two and then be fine for a week or so. There are no frost prolems in the freezer and there is no moisture in the fridge. I would like to figure out if this is something I can handle by myself, or if I will have to call someone in. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Eric

Hi Eric,

There should be 2 more numbers after the "q" at the end of your model#, these are the results I get:
ET8LFKXKQ00
ET8LFKXKQ01
ET8LFKXKQ02
ET8LFKXKQ03
ET8LFKXKQ04
ET8LFKXKQ05
ET8LFKXKQ06
ET8LFKXKQ07

If you can pinpoint exacactly where that noise is coming from, that would help alot.

Its possibly coming from the compressor start device relay in the back of your refrigerator.

Jake
