Question Light and LED in Whirlpool side by side

Model Number: GS5SHAXNL00
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: 1 -5 years

I've read the threads about the control board going and causing the light and LED's to fail. Mine went about 6 weeks ago and I had a local appliance guy come out.
He replaced the board, and it was burnt around #90, just like everything I read said it would be. Before he replaced the board, the fridge was making a nasty electrical noise whenever the door was opened (started when the lights went out). The new board stopped the noise, but the lights/LED still didn't work.
He ordered the part to replace the light and LED assembly. He delivered that today, installed it, and it still didn't work.
He said he didn't know how to fix it, so he took his new light assembly out, put the old one back and left.
I have another company coming out later this week, what should they be looking for? Could the wrong or improperly installed control board be causing this?
It's cooling fine, and the lights in the freezer are working fine.

Default I never saw what he put in.

The box indicates it is the right number. Any chance it was just installed wrong?
He also said that he thinks I may have had some wiring damaged in between the board and the light assembly when it blew?
The guy seemed very inexperienced, and I'm hoping for something easier than burned wires buried in that insulation!

Yes, well you need to get him back out, or another tech. from the company you called, they should have at least a 30 day warranty on all work thats done.
