Default Whirlpool Range Oven Door Won't Stay Closed

Whirlpool CleanTop Model# SF317PEYWL. Door won't stay closed (remains open approx 1") and also will not stay at the "stop" position midway between closed and open. I took the door off, sprayed the hinges with wd-40 and visually checked the hinges, but can't see anything wrong with them. I did not remove the hinges because I wasn't sure if I would have the proper tools to remove and re-attach the spring. This happened once before and while I was looking at the problem, I just pushed down on the top of the door, felt something "pop" a little, then it was fixed. This time, that's not working. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sounds like the hinges need to be replaced, they have worn out at the stop. Might want to replace the springs too if it will not stay closed all of the way, but take a look at them first.
