Hello,

I have a whirlpool super capacity 465 gas range model number sf357beh. It is at least 5 to 7 years old. The oven occasionally will not light. The digital display indicates that everything is working, but no gas and no spark. Sometimes it works, heats up to temperature and will not keep working to keep the temperature up. This is a random event that seems to get less random as time goes by. This problem is with bake and broil. The stove top generally works, but occasionally the gas will work with no spark, or neither gas or spark will work. This always happens when the oven is not working, but 95% of the time the stovetop will work when the oven does not. Never has the stovetop had problems when the oven has not. From reading other similar problems, I would assume that the control panel is bad. If so, are any available. If not what could it be. Please Help. Thanks.

i would ckeck the amp draw on the bake ignitor. it's probably weak. or you could roll the dice and replace it . if you have to buy amp probe and ignitor, might just as well call a pro, both options are expensive, depends on how fast you want it fixed. i would not buy a control unless you know it's bad.

There another letter and number after 'h' at the end of your model#. Like this:
