Whirlpool gu1500xtls3 poor proformance
I have had my dishwasher about 2 years and it has never really worked well. recentlly all the dishes were coming out cloudy. I tried less soap and checked water temp. It appears the water level is low as the float can be lifted to activate the microswitch. I can hear the pump running and I did the upright glass "trick" and it does fill with water. I find soap in the dispenser still and there is a build up of scum on the roof of the tub. I did find a gray seal or gasket once but i did not know where it can from. I think it might have come from the water inlet??? when running I can hear the Microswitch in the float switch on and off. Is this normal? Do you think I need a new inlet valve or water pump? any Ideas or suggestions whould be greatly appreciated.

The water level isn't suppose to be really high, just so its under your heating element. The float seems fine, thats normal.
The main issue we have had with these are the pump/motor assemblies and the chopper screen/check valve flapper.
Here is 2 links that explain about it:

Do you have a lot of lime in your water. I had low flow once when my lines got clogged up had to replace lines and use a softener.
