Question No Ice chute door on Whirlpool Conquest?

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold Side by side with a ice/water system in the door about 1 year ago. It was a scratch and dent model... no warranty. Anyway, water leaks out of the ice maker, drips down on the little pan, then flows down to the floor and pools up. The dealer wont even look at it for me, so I have looked at similar units and found that they have a little "door" and ice chute. My unit does not have this. I'm wondering if it should?? Seems to me, that the warm air in the house flows up the ice dispenser and melts the ice in the freezer, causing my problems. Did these Whirlpool refridgerators not have a ice chute and "insulation door"? If they do, where can I buy the parts that I need and how easy is it to install??

Whats the model number of your refrigerator?
There should be a tag inside the refrigerator section with model/serial info.

Here is a digram of the parts for that model.
Are you missing any of these parts?

Wow!
Atleast you know for sure now.
Guess all you can do at this point is order the parts you need.

I wonder why you would be missing them parts like that?

Tech - looks like I need to order some parts... Pretty easy to install all these parts??? Do they make a "kit" with all of this?
Thanks,
Mike.

I'm guessing that because it was a scratch and dent model... my missing parts were the "scratch and dent" since there are no scratches and dents. :-)

Just an FYI, even if you purchased it scratch & dent, the warranty still applies for functional failures, unless the RECEIPT specifically states "as is". Scratch & dent only excludes cosmetic problems, which incidentally aren't usually covered by the warranty anyway.
