Default Frigidaire A/C

Model #FAM156R1A. The compressor will not come on. No power to it. I suspected the control, but when I opened it up I noticed that it has 2 boards. One to set controls & one behind the cover. What could be the problem or which board do you think is bad? Thanks.

Hi shadowrider,

Our first window a/c question of 2009.

Please double check the model# there should be a number or two after the "A" at the end of your model#.

Then we can check which board is giving you the problem.

Jake

Jake, that's got me puzzled. There are no letters or numbers after the A. I'm looking on the tag on the A/C. Asked about it at the appliance store where it was bought & that's all they had on file. If it helps this unit has the fresh air option on the control. Also has timer on it. I'll do some more digging & see what I can come up with. Thanks.

Yes, all the online sites I've looked that model# up at say there should be more number/numbers after the "A".

Hate to give you a bad part#.
