Sears Kenmore/Whirlpool Dryer Motor
Posted by: | CommentsWe seem to be having lots of members coming to our dryer forum and are having their dryer motor starting to fail, after about 8 years dryer motors can simply just wear out under normal use. The sign of a dryer motor going out is when you start the dryer it makes a grinding sound and runs a little while then just stops completely.
Here’s the most common dryer motor for the Sears Kenmore/Whirlpool models with the lint filter on top of the dryer:

Posted by: | Comments1997 Sears Kenmore washer (model#110.26912691): Not agitating or spinning, but you can hear the motor running. Took the cabinet off, then removed the water pump and motor, then I saw the motor coupling broken, and lots of oil coming from the gearcase. I showed the customer the oil leak and they said, we have had good use from it, and its time for another new Sears Kenmore. I agreed.
Here’s the motor coupling for this model, in case others without an oil leak what to order and change it.

Sears Kenmore Range Clock/Oven Display
Posted by: | CommentsSears Kenmore Range(model#66575022101): The clock display is dead, can’t read it at all. Check for 120 volts to it with my volt meter, that checked normal. So that means the problem is the clock/oven display is out. Installed new one, worked great!

Posted by: | CommentsSears Kenmore top mount(freezer on top) refrigerator(model#1068668883): Not cooling properly, I found the evaporator(freezer) fan motor not turning, the bearing had gone out in it. Installed new one, worked great!

Sears Kenmore Washer Lid Switch
Posted by: | CommentsSears Kenmore Washer(model#110.23034101): Washer will fill with water then stop and not do anything, also when you put it spin, nothing happens. Found the lid switch bad.
What you do to check it is to get a volt/ohm meter and put the the meter on the ohms setting, then put the meter probes in the black & red connectors from the lid switch, then push the lid switch down, if your meter reads 0-1 ohms then its good, if the meter reads nothing at all its bad.

Sears Kenmore Refrigerator Condenser Motor
Posted by: | CommentsSears Kenmore Side by Side Refrigerator(model#106.56563400): Not cooling well, freezer items not hard enough and refrigerator section warming up too. When I touched the middle cabinet divider it was very hot. I pulled the refrigerator out from the wall, then took off the lower back access cover and found the condenser fan motor not turning, it had gone bad.
