Hello,

Bought this washer new about a year and 4 months ago.
It started to make this very high pitched noise, but I made sure it’s not overloaded and enough water.

Any help or feedback would be appreciated.

It could be something rubbing on the drive pulley or the plastic belt guard casing.

This video below is for replacing the mode shifter, but it ALSO shows you how to get access to those other parts too, so you can look and see, if your able to tilt the washer back, you may want a helper or have GE come out and do it for you.

I am having the *exact same sound* and my washer and dryer are right at the 1-year old mark.
Ive tried shifting it, lean forward, lean back, shift left and shift right, bump it, push on top and all 4 sides, etc.
NOTHING makes it stop (besides stopping the spin cycle). It is not overfilled or out of balance.

This sound is driving me CRAZY.
