I have a Kenmore side by side refrigerator. A few times now, it will defrost the freezer and then refreeze. I'll go out there and pull out a frozen pizza, and it's thawed.

We have a large family, and this is our second refrigerator. It is in our garage and we do not run the ice maker at all.

Not cold at all... I live in the Houston area.

I wasn't sure. Many fridges won't function properly in below freezing temps.

If that's not the cause then investigation when the problem is occurring will be required. The first thing would be to check if the fans and compressor are stopped together or possibly just the compressor stopped. (The compressor is responsible for all cooling.)

Lastly, the fridge isn't on a switched wall outlet and someone is just turning the power off by mistake?
