I need to replace the water reservoir in my Kenmore Model 106.55522400 side by side refrigerator. The OEM part is just a coiled length of 5/16" refrigerator tubing, but costs upwards of $60. I can buy 100 feet of the tubing for $38 and cut it to length. Any idea how long the OEM tubing is uncoiled?

Why not take out the old one and measure it?

I did. 95 feet long. So I bought 100 feet of 5/16" OD LLDPE plastic tubing, the same as the OEM part uses, coiled it, and installed it. Now the water tastes like plastic.
