I have replaced the water lever sensor and the thermistor before. I think the thermistor is bad again, but I'm not sure. I pulled it out and at room temp it is showing 2.9 ohms, when I put it in ice water it goes up to about 8 ohms. What should those levels be? Anything else to check?

Edit....just put it in a bowl of ice for 15 min and it reads 8.77 ohms, from what I am reading, that seems normal. I really dont want to gamble on a $365 control board, any other ideas?

Are you referring to the Bin Thermistor?

Here's the Bin thermistor for this model:

When you click the link to it, you will see many others say the same thing theirs making too much ice, and the new Bin thermistor fixed it!

Guess I'll give it a try....its got to be either that or the control board, and this is much cheaper.

Yes Jake, that bin thermistor usually solves this problem.

Oh wait, but you said it ohm tested fine?

If so, then it would be a bad control board:

Seems to be fixed....not sure why, because the old part tested good. But, Im happy to not buy a new control board.
