    Default Kenmore 106.57032601 ice build-up

    Ice build-up above top "shelf" of freezer door (above ice caddy) and on roof of freezer around light switch. Sears repair replaced the gasket then put some kind of silicon sealant around light switch. Repair guy stated that ice build-up is common in all frost-free freezers and is probably occurring elsewhere in the freezer.

    Unit is about 14 months old. Problem noticed just weeks before 1 year warranty expired.

    Any thoughts as to what this actually is?

    Its usually caused by warm kitchen air leaking into the freezer from somewhere, if the tech. changed your freezer door gasket already and its still doing it, its possibly coming in from your dispenser ice door chute.
