My washer was starting cycles over and over. I ran the diagnostic and was told it was the lid lock switch. I cannot find one locally. I tried putting my old one back in and it doesn't work at all now. Is there a way to bypass this. Any ideas on a temp fix?

Hi, No unfortunately there is no way to bypass it.

Do you mean The cycle starts over in a continuous loop? If so, I found a service bulletin on this problem. I posted it in post#2 here: FIXED: WTW4900BW0 Washing Machine, starting by itself, continuous cycles, etc


Here's the lidlock switch assembly for your model:
Door Lock W10404050


Also, check your door strike to make sure that's not broken. That's the part that goes into the lidlock switch when you close your lid.
