Hi as stated in the title I have a Kenmore 110.25132411 top-load washing machine I have replaced the actuator, drive belt and splutch parts first because my washplate was stuck. After breaking the washplate off I cannot seem to get the hub off because there is still something stuck(gear) on the drive shaft. I have attached a photo any recommendations would be much appreciated.

All the videos Ive watched made this look so easy but that dam washplate wouldnt budge and now im stuck here with no washplate and no way to get the hub off

Corrected model number

Currently my washer used to only agitate but not spin before breaking the agitator off while making a grinding or rubbing noise. After reading several threads on here it seems that replacing the hub is the likely culprit but i cant seem to get it off. i have removed the screws and the plastic catch but it doesn't fit over that gear i assume it comes off but its extremely stuck

You posted two different model numbers, neither pull up good.

Hi Jake thanks for responding my model number is 110.25132411

sorry for the mistakes above

I was looking at one of your last replies from;
https://www.applianceblog.com/mainf...washer-model-110-25132411-not-spinning.74395/

and it looks like that piece is suppose to come off with the wash plate, but I just wanted to make sure before I cut it off.
also does the new washplate have that piece inside it to slide back onto the drive shaft

Just to keep anyone interested updated I was able to get it off with a Dremel and grinding wheel. I cut it down on both sides as far as i felt comfortable then took a chisel to knock it off. Currently waiting for a new hub and wash plate to see if that fixes the problem

Thanks!

Good job getting it off.

Its the transmission(gearcase) that's bad too, the transmission is leaking oil.

Here's the transmission(gearcase) for your model: W11454734 Gearcase

Just out of curiosity what makes you think its the transmission. I have not seen any oil. Also once i got the hub off it was completely worn down

Look at your photos in your first post, you don't see that black oil/black grease? I surely do!

Oh wait, is that black oil or black grease or not?

FIXED: Just to give you an update/ overview for anyone who experiences the same problem:

Washer started to make a grinding noise during the wash cycle.
by tricking the lock switch I was able to determine that the agitator and the basket were not spinning.
The wash plate was rusted on and I could not remove it so I tried replacing the splutch and the actuator which did not resolve the problem
I ended up having to cut the wash plate off and remove the gear pictured above using a dremel
After replacing the Hub and adding a new wash plate everything thing is working in order

Thanks again Jake If it wasnt for your responses in several of the other posts i never would have figured this out
