Hi I looked on the internet about replacing the bearings on the washer. this would solve the spin noise issue. I started the repair but can not remove the nut (1 1/4 inch) at the bottom of the unit to remove the basket, bearing, spindle/shaft. Additionally I can not remove the wash agitator in the basket or tub. I removed the bolt (7/16 inch) but can not lift off the agitator.

Local repairman says not to repair the unit as to complicated (I think hard after stuggling to remove the bottom bolt)

So I need the bearing tool to replace the bearings back in place??

Any other opinions or comments

No, just a snap ring removal tool, pipe, and hammer.

If your having trouble getting parts removed, they are likely corroded on in place, and will be very difficult to remove them without breaking them off, and buying more new parts.

Sorry, wrong washer. Discard what I said above, yours is a top-loader, not front-loader. Sorry about that.

There is a kit for this now that comes with complete instructions and a "HOW TO" video in both part links below:

Outer tub and drive shaft repair kit:
Tub Seal and Bearing Kit W10435302

You will also need the Bearing and seal tool:
Bearing Driver W10447783
