Recently went to check on a kenmore dryer with a no heat complaint, mod num 110.60022010.
gained access to timer to do measurements from control since working space was limited..
240v to dryer, ok
From contact A to X on timer got 0 ohms resistance confirming cut off, hi limit and operating thermostat to be OK.
From contact X to F was supposed to get around 10 ohms resistance for the element yet my meter showed open, grabbed another meter, and got same results.
contacts C to A on timer was giving high resistance
To my surprise after disassembly, heater was ok.... so timer, bad
Ordered a new timer, installed and dryer works like a charm. repeated test with new timer installed and this time heater circuit was reading ok.

my question is why wasnt i getting a reading for the element with the bad timer ?????
this is the second time this happens to me with the same dryer configuration and im scratching my head at this point.
thanks for all the imputs
