Hi,
This is my first time visiting this forum. This gas dryer works fine in that the drum rotates and dries clothes pretty well. The issue is, while running every 3-6 mins. or so it starts making this horrible noise (constant pitch, buzzing, not like something's grinding) that lasts for between 8-12 seconds, then it stops. I can upload a video if needed. I have no clue what's causing it. I've cleaned out all the lint from inside the machine that I can, though I've never removed the drum (worried I couldn't get it back together).

Any ideas as to what's causing the noise and how I can fix it would be greatly appreciated. If I can't get it I'm going to have to buy the wife a whole new machine.

Thanks. - Ed

Thanks Ed,

Sounds like the motor is making that noise.

What I would do is: Disconnect power to the dryer, then take the drum out and turn the motor shaft both ways, it should turn smooth, if not then that noise is coming from the motor.

Here's the motor for your model:
Drive Motor 279827

There is a video in the motor part link that shows you how to access it.
