Keep blowing the thermal fuse I have clean, I have test. Thanks for any advise. I was told this would work by a used appliance fix it type guy. I am little timid of it. I can't find any reference anywhere on the net.

Hi,

Can you replace the thermal fuse with a high limit thermostat?

CAN you, yes....SHOULD you, no.

Keep blowing the thermal fuse

There will be a reason....air flow ( venting, lint filter, dryer ducts, vent hood ), grounded element, operating thermostat/thermistor allowing the dryer to cycle too hot, drum seal(s) worn.

Thermal-Fuse-279769-00699523.jpg Heating element thermal cut-off (thermal fuse) 360 degrees and high-limit thermostat 250 degrees.
