During a washing cycle yesterday I heard a loud noise and opened the lid to see that the agitator stopped moving.

Looks like the dogs are in working condition still; is this likely the motor? I'm thinking it might be considering the loud noise.

The washer still drains. If it is indeed the motor, how expensive of a repair am I looking at?

The whole agitator (top and bottom) doesn't turn or just the top section?

Will the washer still spin the clothes out? (Draining is a separate function than spin so don't lump the two functions together)
