Default LEQ6000ES0 Frigidaire/Electrolux Error DR Will not start

    Model Number: LEQ6000ES0
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 1-5 years

This just started last night. Set the dryer to normal hit the start button and it blinks dr in the window and the three lights above the start button blink. I've done some checking and it seems to be the Door switch. Which is just under $6.00 locally at a parts store. This dryer has a year left under extended warranty, but I don't see the need to call if that is the only problem it has. Problem is I'm not quite sure how to get down to this part or where it is located. Not to mention I'm not for sure that is what it even is.

I can't find a service manual to see how this one comes apart or anything. Some help would be great with someone more experienced with side load dryers.

I'm attaching the repair manual for this Frigidaire model below.

Ever since the last security update on Acrobat I haven't been able to download and open these .pdf files.

Try to see if you can download and open it.

You'll likely need to remove the front panel to access the door switch, Unplug your dryer first. Then I use my ohm meter to check continuity on it with the button pushed in on it. Should read 0 ohms, take the wires off it first.

Here's the door switch for your model:

Shouldn't be a problem on the pdf. I don't use Adobe its prone to locking up. I use Foxit Reader.

This error does mean the door switch is bad though correct?

    Ok, I'll get Foxit.

Did the repair manual not say anything the error code "dr"?

There should also be a tech. data sheet in the bottom your dryer, that should have a error code list on it, if the repair manual doesn't.

Nothing about the error code. I pulled the switch out without taking the washer apart so its not torn down to the data sheet. :-( I would just as soon replace the switch at $5.70 then tear more of it apart. LOL

I actually contacted Lowes. Considering its well over the year warranty through Frigidaire. The extended warranty is through Lowes. They will be out Thursday between 12-5pm. Sigh......
