Brand: Tappan
Age: More than 10 years

The cooktop has had two issues since I bought my house with the Tappan/Youngstown Steel Kitchen one small element never worked and the large element only partially heated, these elements have 4 connections and divided the element into to heaters.

In January I turned on the big element to make a blueberry/onion jam and Spark!, Blue Flame and the smell of burning plastic and the whole cooktop died.

My home warranty company sent a tech from Sears, he entered the model# of the cooktop and no parts came up as available and he couldn't find the model# for the Custom oven so he recommended they be replaced I'd like to find two elements, the burned wiring is an easier fix, and a hinge roller, again the act of replacing the part is a hassle but not rocket surgery.

You can try these

I'd like to find two elements
Parts list for that age of product are very sketchy. I came up with replacement #'s MC45R6R and MC80R9R for replacement small and large surface elements respectively. I can not guaranty they're correct though. They have also been discontinued so don't expect to find them at many local stores.

I couldn't find a listing for the oven at all but the sketchy parts lists only showed electrical parts for those older models anyway.

Thanks I assumed I would be looking for NOS but my warranty company wants to just replace them not do the hard work.
