That number doesn't look right. Can you post a photo of its model number tag from the appliance?

That's definitely what it looks like 1309-2S. Unfortunately, all the older GE range/oven model numbers in the GE master model index appear to start with the letter J eg. J300... but there are no J309... models listed.

You're certain it is a G.E. and not another brand?

If so, all I can suggest is to post some photos of the elements needing to be replaced along with their rough measurements. A photo of their mounting plate and any numbers printed on it might help as well.

Finally back at it. Not GE, it is a Preway oven circa 1959. Lower element is a U shape 14" wide and 16" deep. Broiler pic attached

Is that the element you're trying to replace?

all I can suggest is to post some photos of the element needing to be replaced along with its rough measurements. A photo of their mounting plate and any numbers printed on it might help as well.

it is a Preway oven circa 1959. Lower element is a U shape 14" wide and 16" deep.

There was a 'universal' replacement bake element available for it once upon a time. It appears to be NLA. That element was Chromalox # CH655 (aka 453181) and there were several other similar universal ones from other companies # RP655 and TS655. I can't find any at regular part suppliers but i did find one listing at eBay.
