Model Number
J D12W2GR
I have a GE wall oven that was installed in the 1960's when the house was built. As near as I can tell the model number is J D12W2GR. I need to replace the bake element and would like to confirm what element number I need.
Thank you in advance for your help.

The current bake element for that oven model is linked below.

It's refreshing to see parts for such an old appliance are still available. Don't expect that with any appliance sold now adays. :(

Using the links provided in forum messages to trusted parts vendors helps support this forum and the professionals that give their time to assist you for free. If you use the services here and then go to Amazon to save a couple of dollars on parts, soon it will not be worthwhile to maintain these forums and you will need to seek your future advice from Amazon too. (Good luck!)

That's Great. I am glad that an element was still available. It would be a massive job to replace an oven that is built into the wall. I have the element on order.

Thank you so much for your fast reply.

Yes, that's often a problem with builtin appliances as they are often not a standard size and often would require cabinetry work as well.

I installed the Bake Element, and the oven now works great. Thank you so much for your help!
Do you have the part number for the Broiler Element and maybe the Thermostat?
I was thinking that they are just as old as the bake element was and I should buy them while they are still available.
Thanks, Carroll

Glad to hear it.

The current broil element can be seen at the following link:

The oven thermostat was originally # WB21x138 but most recently had been substituted to # WB21x5209 which has been discontinued for years. You might come across old stock or a used one occasionally at the following link.

LINK > Search Results for WB21x138 and WB21X5209 Thermostat

If you click the link there that says, "🖤 Save this search" they will email you when new items matching those items become available.
