Kenmore Coldspot 106.57032601 - Ice dispenser hinge broken
Brand:
Sears Kenmore
Age:
6-10 years
I recently noticed our ice dispenser door was not closing all the way. What made me notice it was the ice chute was completely blocked by ice/frost that looked all melted together.
I took apart the dispenser area to find the ice dispenser hinge holder broken. The door was just loosey goosey up in that area.
I'm thinking I need this part from this post: FIXED Broken hinge pin holder on Kenmore Dispenser chute
But I'm not sure since it is a different model number.
The broken hinge (right hinge when looking at the freezer door) is the one circled in red of MemphisJeff's photo post (#5) in that thread (I couldn't figure out how to do a sub-post link).

Yup, you will need to order that kit as well for your model.

I have this same problem. The right hinge is broken. It's the piece connected to the door, not the ice chute. It sounds like this might be a replacement option, but my model is different. It's Kenmore model #106.57362702. Would that same part (Dispenser Door 8201756) fit this model?

That won't do it. There's a plastic hinge on the freezer door that is broken. This only replaces the ice chute parts.
