    Hi,

I'm attaching the service pointer for this issue below.

The tech. data sheet and diagnostics codes should be located behind the bottom front lower access panel.

    Default service sheet

I don't have a service sheet to tell me how to reset once i fix the problem.
the control panel was replaced , the guy i got the dishwasher from was told by lowes tech it needs a heater element.

He squealed and lowes gave him a new one and told him to junk the dishwasher.

I am not sure if it's worth fixing it looks brand new.He said when it ran it did a heck of a job.

    thanks for your quick response

Yes, they have had that element issue and control problem issue for a little while now,but once they are replaced, they run well.

Default READ this for Diagnostics on KitchenAid dishwasher KUDI01FLSS6 -close the door after starting Diag.

Hi all, this is a great post for this specific problem. Thanks Jake and Papafee!

The Clean LED on my 14 year old unit started flashing 7 times.
Cycling the breaker did not help.
Finally reading the paper document, part number 8564549, obtained from behind the bottom cover (this same document is in previous posts), I discovered press High temp, then energy saver, then High temp, then energy saver, all the LED's would light with the clean light flickering.

Per the instructions, pushing any further buttons would not advance anything.

I finally pushed start and closed the door. Voila, things began to happen!
After a while, I opened the door and the clean LED was off.
I ran the dishwasher and it seems to be working normally now.
I will post if there are further problems.
And I plan to retire this unit within a week.

lol. I should have listened more to my parents. Close the door!

    Hi E,

Papa never came back to update us. Papa its 2019 where are you??? LOL

    That's just a temporary fix.

Trust me it will do it again, then you'll need to ohm test your heating element first.

Default It is time to retire the dishwasher

    Hi Jake,

The dishwasher has worked for one session, going to run it again today.
IF it fails again soon, I will reset it again, milking the life out of it.

We are going to replace it ASAP. Bad performance will motivate us to replace it sooner.

ya, Papa is still thinking about this from 2016. lol

Yes Earl, I would agree. All good things must come to a end, unfortunately.
