My Kenmore dryer had an issue yesterday. The power cord connection and terminal block decided to melt. Luckily, someone was nearby and saw the smoke coming out so we could turn it off before the house burned down. My question is this- being old (build date January 2007), could this have suddenly just happened over years of vibration loosening the connection screw? It looks like I will need a new power cord, terminal block and wiring harness. Is there anything else to check?

The plug outlet should also be checked.
