Sounds great, I'll give that a shot tonight. I'm assuming that if the symptoms persist with water in the bucket that it's likely the pump, then? Thanks, Walt!

Check that the hoses are attached in there too. They fall off occasionally.

Alright, filled the recirc bucket and the pump drew the water up to the evaporator plate. No issues with the recirc pump then. Hose connections on the inlet valve were intact, although, I can't trace the line downstream of the valve (between the valve and the bucket). I'd assume I'd see water everywhere if there was a break/disconnect in that line...that correct? All in all, you think it's safe to point at the inlet valve as the culprit?

    Thanks!

Sounds like itís a water supply problem. Bad valve or frozen line

The unit has been unplugged for about a week at this point, so barring some junk in the line, I guess the valve is the problem....

    Thanks!

Thanks for the guidance! Installed a new inlet valve yesterday morning and now have a full bucket of ice.

Excellent, good job, guess I was right about the water inlet valve being bad. Thanks Walt for confirming that too.

    Thanks for the update J!

Alright, so apparently the honeymoon is over.....I come home tonight to a loudly whirring pump, a dry recirc bucket, and a partially melted bucket of ice. I poured some water into the recirc bucket, and the recirc pump started pumping away. It would seem highly unlikely that the inlet valve would've gone bad that quickly so could the problem be something else? The unit has been running 24/7 since Spring 2013 and never any issues until a couple weeks ago, so I doubt it's an issue with the valve clogging.

    Thanks

There’s a white 1/4 in line in the interior of the icemaker. It’s fastened to the pump. See if it’s freezing.

I assume you're referring to the fill line positioned over the top of the recirc bucket? If that line freezes, would/could that kill off the inlet valve? The unit has been off for the better part of a week now (unfortunately, I came down with the flu last weekend and was out of commission), so it's both drained and still unable to fill in the on position. What would cause the freezing, simply a cooler water supply? The weather here in Atlanta was pretty cold when the valve first failed, and while the unit is in a fully-conditioned space, the water line travels through an unconditioned/unfinished/uninsulated basement utility room....
