Default A refrigerator with matching stainless steel side panels?

    Hello,
I am looking to purchase a new refrigerator. I have a small NYC and my refrigerator is exposed on one side. I am looking to purchase a new refrigerator but the ones I've seen have stainless steel fronts but the sides are some cheap orange-peel black or white paint color. Are there any brands of refrigerators that also have stainless steel on the sides? I know retro fridges like SMEG and Big Chill have color coordinated sides but don't offer stainless steel options.
    Thank you,
    David

You've probably noticed when shopping online you never get to see the sides, just the front. Look for "fully wrapped" in the description.

Stainless steel refrigerators usually have a black or gray box, textured or smooth. "Fully Wrapped" Stainless Steel refrigerators have stainless steel sides, top and front. I think every manufacturer makes one that's fully wrapped but they usually need to be special ordered. The reason is cost. A fully wrapped stainless steel refrigerator increases the cost by about $2000. Whirlpool makes a counter depth side x side where you can order one stainless steel side panel for the exposed side for about $700. Looks like this:

Thank you for the info. I would do a search for fully wrapped refrigerators. I have called a few companies and it seems that they don't really know if they have them. I am interested in the Fisher & Paykel RF135BRPX6N. If you know of any, please let me know too. Thank you.

I am still looking for a fully wrapped refrigerator. I do not want to buy a new refrigerator and then have to apply a cheap aftermarket wrap to the sides. I went to several appliance stores and could not find one fully wrapped refrigerator. I would also be interested in purchasing a fully wrapped black refrigerator. Why are the sides always different from the front? Why can't someone make a refrigerator where all sides match, same material, same color?

Good questions, wrong forum. We just fix them. Stainless steel doesn't cool any better than black or white. Many refrigerators fit into a spot where you don't see the sides or top or maybe one side. The majority of customers that purchase a stainless model are OK with the gray or silver color box. I know GE makes one that's fully wrapped because I worked on it.

Thank you, Rick. Also, I have no idea what forum would answers my questions. Do you have any suggestions?
