Default FIXED: LG WM2050CW - Water leaks from the the drain line.

    Model Number: WM2050CW
    Brand: LG
    Age: 6-10 years

We recently removed the drain pump filter from the front of the washer to clean it out. Now, whenever we start the washer, water leaks from the filter. The tub doesn't fill or get wet at all. I replace the filter basket with a new one but this didn't solve the problem.

I assume you're referring to this one:

Where is it leaking from? If it's leaking from around the coin trap, check the gasket is on correctly. Try turning it 180* and reinstalling it.

That the one. It leaks from around it. The old gasket looked seemed fine. I replace the the whole just to be sure. It's still leaking.

Upon closer inspection, I found dirt in the threads where the trap screws in. I cleaned it out good with some compressed air. The trap went in nice and snug. No more leaking. Sorry for the bother. An easy fix.
