Default FIXED: DV330AGB/XAA Samsung Gas Dryer not staying lit

    Model Number: DV330AGB
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 6-10 years

I have a Samsung DV330AGB/XAA. When starting a cycle the igniter will glow and then the gas will ignite, giving a nice flame, then a few seconds later it'll click and the flame will go out. The dryer will continue to run but with no heat. I replaced the solenoid valves and that didn't fix it. What should I try now?

I did notice that about every minute the igniter glows and it lights for a few seconds then shuts off again.

Per another thread on this forum I pulled the dryer vent hose off just to make sure there wasn't a restriction in the vent. But, even with the dryer vent off it is still shutting off.

    Ok,

If your getting strong airflow out the back of the dryer with the vent hose off and it's still not staying lit, then you'd need the gas valve assembly.

Are you on Natural Gas or LP?

Here's the gas valve assembly for your model you can order:

Thanks Jake! It seems to be working now. With the front panel off it wouldn't stay lit, but when I put the front panel back on it would stay lit and working. I'm guessing it was an airflow issue.

Sounds good Tim, glad that's all it was.
