Old Kenmore Elite, repaired many times. During the drain cycle, the water moves fine, but the pump won't turn off when complete. This occurs at the end of the wash cycles and the quick rinse cycle. The pump is fine. I'm assuming there is some type of sensor that detects when the water in the cavity has been drained, and then shuts the pump off. But I can't find it in any online literature. Looking at the parts list, I don't see any likely suspects. Is it possible that the controller just runs the pump for a predetermined duration? Or is there a switch embedded in the pump assembly?
