Ok, on this model you will need a new upgraded heating element/control board kit assembly. They both come together in 1 kit.

The manufacturer has replaced part number 8268559 with this item, part number 8194200.

Here's the one for your model you can order:
8194200 Heating Element Kit

That's good to hear, on some of these Kenmore 665 models all you need is the heating element alone. What is your exact model number?

Yup thanks, your model is one of them where you can order the heating element alone without the control board.

I have a 665.17463300. Can I just replace the element with the W10518394 or do I need a control board too? Thanks.

To make it as easy as possible for anyone else: WPW10082892 works for stainless steel tub Kenmore dishwashers such as mine which is model # 665.17463300 and WITHOUT needing a new control board. Now if I could just find a cheap replacment button panel as mine has multi peel spots lol. Here's a pic of the new element installed, it works like a champ! Thank you Jake!
