good evening I'm working on a Kenmore free standing range. It heat's up but it takes for ever and sometimes doesn't reach temp. Could it be the oven temp sensor or can I adjust the heat with the control panel using the manufactures directions on how to adjust it? And if so what is the sequins for doing that on this model? Thanks for your help.

Are you using a digital temperature meter or laser to see what the oven temps are? I use this one myself: Multimeter DM10T It comes with a oven temperature probe that you put in the oven to monitor the oven temperature.

You really need to do that first so we know what the temperature is when set at 350 degrees, then as it cycles the bake element on and off make down the temperature readings and post them here.

Here's the owners manual: https://www.dropbox.com/s/380a9rz0vxrh5pz/66592174300.pdf?dl=0 Look at page 11 then look where it says TO ADJUST TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION.

To ohm test the oven sensor: All you do is pull your range out from the wall, then unplug it, then remove the back access panel and you will see a little plastic connector that connects to your oven sensor, just unsnap that little plastic connector and take a ohm reading on it at room temperature per the video below.

Here's the oven sensor for your model:

Watch this video to ohm test it:

Let us know what you find.
