Default DV52J8700EP/A2 Samsung Thermistor keeps failing

    Model Number: DV52J8700EP
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hello all,

Iím very much a rookie at appliance repair. My Samsung dryer recently quit drying so I brought my meter home from work and started testing things. I found that the thermister was bad. I replaced it and it worked for 4-5 loads then went bad again. I got a 2 pack from the parts store so I put the another one in it and it it lasted about the same amount of time. What do I need to check next? The Samsung Model Number is DV52J8700EP/A2

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Are you referring to the thermal fuse that mounts on the side of the heating element?

If so, I posted a Blog on this same issue that I went out on in my local area here, they keep blowing out, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why, then the last one I installed I advised the customer to use MEDIUM HEAT instead of HIGH HEAT and haven't heard back from her since, and that was last March.

My Blog starts at post#23 here: DV218AEB Samsung Dryer Keeps Blowing Thermal Fuse/page3

Thanks for the reply Jake. I'm talking about the Thermistor. It is located on the blow motor housing. I'm not finding much using google on why it is becoming a recurring issue.

    Ok Steve, Got it!

    This thermistor:
    DC32-00007A Dryer Thermistor

I've never seen a thermistor go bad twice like that in a row, your possibly getting defective thermistors. Where are you getting them from?
