Default KEDO276SSBL KitchenAid Superba 24 Self Clean Oven Not Working

    Model Number: KEDO276SS
    Brand: KitchenAid
    Age: More than 10 years

We have a KitchenAid Superba 24 Self Clean Oven that was new and installed in 1990. It's a double wall oven with the control panel and clock at the top.

We had a problem with the AC unit on a hot day and we reset all of the breakers to see if that would fix the AC - it turned out to be a fuse on the AC unit instead. After we had flipped all the breakers, I was going around resetting clocks and saw that the clock was not working on the oven. If I turn the oven to Bake then the clock and timer start working, but the oven never got hot. Turning the oven off made the clock and timer stop working again.

Trying to decide if it is better to replace it or repair it. I think that it is past the average lifespan so we may be better off replacing it, but I would hate to spend that much if it were something simple like a fuse. The manual was no help on finding the problem. If the cost to repair it would be over $300 then we would probably just replace it. Also debating if it's worth spending the $60 or more on estimate fees I've gotten just for someone to come out and tell us if it can be fixed. Any suggestions please?

We have reset the breakers several times, and we left power off for about 10 minutes before putting it back on with no luck.

    Hi Crystina,

Unfortunately, the clock oven control assembly is No Longer Available for your model.

1990 is a good lifespan you've had for it. So it's best to replace it with a new oven.

So it would need a new clock oven control assembly to work, not just a relay board or a blown fuse in the oven? Ugh. I know 28 years has been a good lifespan, we're just being hit with a lot of appliances having issues at once - all reaching the end of their lifespans. Thank you so much for your time!
