Default WF42H5000 Samsung Washing Machine No Power

    Model Number: WF42H5000
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

I have a WF42H5000 front load washer that will not turn on following a power outage in the neighborhood. After reading a few blogs I checked the noise filter and found it to be good(120v output). I ordered a new main board and installed- still no power. I donít see any fuses. I have 120v going to the board. Did I get a lemon or am I missing something obvious? And yes I checked the outlet. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. - Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

You received a defective control board, where did you get it from?

I ordered it from DIY Repair Parts through Amazon. The box was way too big for the board and had no packing material. I had a feeling it was gonna be a bad day. Any recommendations on where i can get one?

Yes, many folks these past couple weeks have been getting bad parts from amazon and ebay. Since amazon and ebay don't monitor people selling merchandise to make sure it's good, then folks are taking a chance with them.

That's why I always recommend getting appliance parts through our part suppliers AppliancePartsPros and RepairClinic that only sell appliance parts. Sure you may pay a bit more but at least you know the parts are good.

Let us know how it goes when you get the new control board from my link to it above in post#2.
