    Default LTC22350SS LG refrigerator cooling problem

    Model Number: LTC22350SS
    Brand: LG
    Age: 6-10 years

    My frige stopped cooling. Area between freezer and frige froze up. We thawed it out and freezer seems to be working. We plug in frig and it seems to work fine for about 10 minutes. Then there is a click and frige light goes out and frige does not cool down. Unplug and plug back in and it runs for about 10 minutes and another click and light goes out again. Evaporator fan does not run. Someone said had to cool for some time before it would kick in. Tried a different evaporator fan with same result. Wiring diagram shows overload protection and PTC thermistor in series with frige lamp. Is this a relay problem, temp sensor or main control panel? How do I go about checking this out?

    If the click sound is coming from the compressor, the overload is opening. Check the compressor windings with a meter. If they check good replace the relay/overload. Here's how to check the compressor windings:
